Whatever you were about to go and get back to, stop.
SPARTA!
It’s almost the end of 2011. The worry of the world’s economic turbulence and the pressure of the season’s family commitments collide unlike anything experienced for generations.
Against such a brooding background this thought-provoking short film by organisation and personal Life coach Guru Dan Andersson has something deeply inspiring and thought-provoking for you.
Dan begins by recounting his experiences working alongside inspired and inspiring people and his good fortune to work in an industry that thrives on a brutally hard work ethic. A work ethic exemplified by an equally brutal in-joke and maxim:”Theres’ plenty of time to rest when you’re dead”.
Self-effacingly expressed, Dan illustrates how it’s an ethic he invests others with as he works – to the extent that he is easily able to inspire all those around him to cheerfully work all day, all night and the following day with an easy smile and cheerful good humour.
As this short film unfolds, Dan deconstructs from where such a hard-core level of personal and shared commitment arrives. Reflecting on this Dan explains how it’s an attitude that he drives himself to exemplify, enabling him to travel from one end of the planet to the other, catching hardly a night’s sleep whilst hitting three continents in successive days. Doing whatever it take to deliver trainings, move business forward and have more done.
Dan reveals that his ability to ‘walk the talk’ is just one of three fundamental pillars that create inspiration. When Dan asks those around him what it is that also drives them to such “I am Sparta!” levels of performance, he reveals deeper, even more powerful qualities that inspire deep commitment, action and fulfilment.
As the shadow of turbulence deepens, dare to raise your hand, “light your own candle in the darkness”: dare to commit to a more inspired life and make 2012 an amazing year.
Do it now.
Like ripples on a pond, raising your hand and committing to leading by example can light your world and the world around you. Commit to be more and you’ll do more. Do more and you’ll have the more you want in your life and the lives and of those around you.
